Payroll Analyst - Remote

The Payroll Analyst will effectively manage the ongoing tax processes for payroll operations, as well as optimizing quality, effectiveness and cost of payroll operations. This position will partner with Payroll Tax Services for the Allegion business as well as support audits, acquisitions, and special projects. Ongoing responsibilities include the coordination of certified payroll filings, providing assistance to reconciliation of the general ledger, processing payroll deductions and adjustments, working closely with internal Allegion Benefit Team to resolve deduction issues.

What You Will Do:
  • Ensures legal compliance in completing all paperwork including all federal, state and local laws regarding, prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting
  • Partner with Access Technologies branches to ensure proper administration of the certified payroll requirements
  • Working closely with field team, establish and review the prevailing wage rates and fringe metrics per project
  • Coordinate the collection of various information service reports and pertinent required information from all branch locations
  • Create and analyze regular and special reports through PeopleSoft, Kronos and Workday reporting
  • Work with peers to verify and calculate the employee check gross to net figures
  • Processing off-cycle payrolls, paycheck corrections/reversals, collections/overpayment tracking
  • Reconcile to the prevailing wage employees figures
  • Responsible for the distribution of all discrepancies to the proper company officials along with timely follow up as to the resolution, including the sending of additional payments
  • Responsible for completing certified payroll forms which differ by state and federal guidelines
  • Ensure legal compliance in completing all paperwork including all federal, state and local laws regarding, prevailing wage and certified reporting. Complete certified payroll forms, proper sign offs, meeting customer documentation requirements and ensuring these packages are sent to and received by customer
  • Keeps current in trends and regulations as they relate to the payroll function
  • Responsible for the process of any OCIP, CCIP, TCIP adjustments required by client per executed contracts. Reporting to agencies verification of contract values and hours worked, relative to the specifics of contract OCIP, CCIP, TCIP wording


What You Need to Succeed:
  • BS/BA in human resources, finance, or business, Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.
  • Experienced payroll professional with 5+ years of payroll administration and multi-state experience.
  • Workday and Kronos experience preferred
  • Experience with HR systems query building and reporting
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Understanding of compensation and wage structure and benefits administration.
  • Strong analytical, project management and problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others
  • Strong change management experience required
  • Must have effective decision-making/critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate, consult and partner with all levels and work well in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communications (verbal and written)
  • Ability to multi-task, act with a sense of urgency and produce results.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local rules and laws
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
  • The expected Base Salary Range: $51,000 - $94,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
