Payroll Officer, USA

Due to major growth we are expanding our Finance team in San Francisco and currently looking for a Payroll Officer(PT) to join the team. 

Responsibilities:

Bi-monthly Payroll 

• Preparation of bi-monthly payroll or/and any ad hoc pay runs with accuracy, in a timely manner and adheres to company policies. 
• Ensure that any payroll changes, records or any other payroll related material is received prior to close of the payroll run.

Month End 

• Assist the Payroll Manager with month end tasks by reconciling statutory accounts e.g vacation, taxes, benefit payments etc. 
• Provide payroll related accruals for month-end purposes

Year End/Annual 

• Assist the Payroll Manager with reconciliation of payroll for statistical reports, statements and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts. 
• Assist the Payroll Manager with year end audit tasks, payroll related lodgements and compliance matters, etc.

Ad Hoc Tasks 

• Provide redundancy and termination pays 
• Review and reconciliation of data in payroll system vs BambooHR (HR system) ● Respond to queries from employees in a timely manner 
• Establish and maintain banking relationship 
• Coordinates with 3rd party payroll system implementations and upgrades 
• Interprets pay policies and ensures compliance with relevant Federal and State payroll requirements 
• Documents payroll processes and procedures
