What are we looking to add to our team?    

We are seeking a dedicated and detailed individual to join our team.  Reporting to the Director, HR, you will be responsible for playing a crucial role in ensuring that HR functions run smoothly and that employees are supported.  The People Operations Generalist involves overseeing HR processes, implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The role also supports HR projects and initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.  The People Operations Generalist is a versatile HR professional who handles a wide range of responsibilities related to managing and supporting companywide programs. 

What you will be doing:  

  • Maintain administration and optimization of various HR tools and systems.  
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, conduct employee orientation sessions, providing a positive experience. 
  • Partner with People Leadership on various people programs including performance management and benefit renewal cycles, including launching and closing each cycle and providing regular reporting during the program. 
  • Manage and audit data within HR systems and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of HR data. 
  • Act as first contact to employee inquiries, providing timely response on many topics. 
  • Partner with internal recruiters to assist with coordinating, interviewing and hiring.   
  • Partner on company-wide projects in various areas including diversity, development, engagement, and analytics. 
  • Administer Leaves of Absence including communication of company policies, tracking, documentation and return to work with employees and managers.  
  • Ensure all HR processes are aligned with local employment laws, ensuring compliance standards are met for each jurisdiction.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience as a HR Generalist or similar role at a small, growing organization, with a focus on operations. 
  • Experience using data-driven approaches to recommend, influence, and effectively execute people operations initiatives.  
  • Active listener with the ability to facilitate effective communication; ability to garner insights from every conversation, and consider the situation, context, and implications.  
  • Ability to proactively find innovative solutions that go beyond conventional approaches in overcoming challenges and achieving talent and people goals. 
  • High EQ and a demonstrated ability to empathize with and support employees. 
  • Resilience and a passion for results that impact business outcomes; consistently delivering on commitments made to the team and effectively managing expectations along the way. 
  • Familiarity with People Operations metrics and with the ability to draw meaningful insights from HR data. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, policies, and procedures.

Base Salary Hiring Range:
$64,520 to $85,720 annually
