Job Summary

The People Ops Specialist is an integral member of our COE (Center of Excellence) HR Badging team and a fantastic opportunity to build a career in human resources. This role will be responsible for ensuring all employees and new hires have received valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect and review all necessary badging forms, background checks, and identification from candidates we have offered a position.
  • Create new employee files and upload all collected badging information
  • Upload all required badging forms and info to state cannabis agencies ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Track status of pending badges and identify potential delays in successful completion of badging process
  • Communicating with managers and employees about upcoming badge expiration dates
  • Manage all badge renewals including document gathering and submission
  • Conduct monthly audits of badging processes to ensure it aligns with compliance regulations that change frequently
  • Special Projects

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of HR administrative support experience
  • Must meet the age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
  • Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or a related field, or combination of education and experience

Experience

  • 1-2 years

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities, deadlines, tasks and projects while dealing with interruptions and an uneven workload
  • Solution Focus - ability to navigate through complex issues and find solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle difficult and/or sensitive situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, build trust and credibility across an organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
