Pharmacy Technician

U.S. Got People is searching for a Pharmacy Technician to work Full-Time at the Portsmouth Naval Center, VA and surrounding clinics.

• Locations: NMC Portsmouth, BHC Boone, BHC Dam Neck, BHC Oceana, TPC Chesapeake, TPC Virginia Beach, TPC Suffolk, BHC NAVSTA Norfolk, and Scott Center

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by ASHP OR graduate of a technical, hospital, or retail-based AND/OR Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
• Experience: 1 year of pharmacy technician experience post program graduation
• Must have an active BLS through American Heart Association or military program

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into
• Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician’s requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug
• Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.

• Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not in stock
