Special Programs Security provides quality leadership, services and solutions to safeguard people and the environment, secure and protect company information and assets as well as enhance operational efficiency for the Corporation. You will serve as the Security Specialist responsible for ensuring successful physical security programs are in place by implementing programs for protecting classified and unclassified sensitive information.
This position is responsible for supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities. This position supports both Aerospace and Government customers within a classified environment.
Work Model: This position is 100% on-site in Colorado Springs, Co.
What You'll Be Doing
- Administers executes and ensures adherence to company and government regulations, policies, and procedures regarding the protection of certain programs
- Assists in designing, implementing, and conducting security, training, briefings, and education programs
- Conducts investigations of known or suspected security infractions/violations and recommend corrective actions
- When necessary, provides physical security requirements for all construction projects and modifications
- Provides technical support for alarms and systems, establishes a process for alarm response and repair, compiles system security plans in accordance with government regulations and conducts system audits and reviews
- Assists with conducting various physical security surveys and assessments
- Conducts annual revalidation of Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) and TEMPEST Countermeasures
- Works with government customers to ensure physical security requirements
- Participates in physical security portion of DoD/SCI/ SAP annual inspections with government customers
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for Security Specialist III:
- 8 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or 5 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with security and safety program
- Knowledgeable of the DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4 SAP manuals, NISPOM, and ICD series manuals
- Current TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP accesses. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Minimum Requirements for Security Specialist IV:
- 12 years of total experience plus all the requirements above

- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification
- SCIF Construction/ ICD 705
- Industrial Security Professional (ISP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$31.25 - $39.66 - $48.07
