Physician Assistant Family Medicine (Sky Lakes Medical Center)

In collaboration with Sky Lakes, OHSU's Cascade East is hiring for a family medicine PA. Cascades East was the second family medicine residency to be developed in Oregon and accepted its first residents in July 1994. Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine administers and sponsors the program. It is a collaboration of OHSU and Sky Lakes Medical Center. The care model consists of four clinical teams with approximately 5 faculty doctors, several OHSU residents, 1-2 APP, and clinical support staff. Candidates will benefit from opportunities to learn procedures and specialize further down the line. Once fully ramped up, providers will typically see 8 patients per half day and about 16 in a full day, with initial volumes set at 4-6 patients per half day. While procedures are not mandatory, physicians and preceptors are available to offer training for those interested. As a residency training facility, this role provides excellent exposure to acute patients, making it an ideal place for learning and professional development

• Full Time Position
• Monday - Friday schedule: APPs provide extended access for the clinic. Clinicians choose one day per week where they start at 7:20 AM or extend hours with last appointment at 5:40 PM. Schedules are flexible on these days to accommodate provider preference to finish clinics earlier, start later, or have extended breaks in between clinics.

• Providers can see up to 16 patients per full clinical day.
• HPSA score of 15 allowing our clinicians to explore alternative options for loan repayment. Currently participating in Oregon Rural Health loan repayments (partnered with OHSU) & National Health Service Corps (current application approved through 12/31/24 -awaiting approval for next cycle that would include 2025-2028).
