Job Description

Trinity Health Michigan Heart and Trinity Health IHA Medical Group have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join a respected Michigan Heart practice located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Physician Assistant maintains the continuum of care through the coordination and integration of all phases of patient care using physician orders, progress notes, care plans, critical pathways, managed care guidelines, best practice protocols, evidence-based care, and the utilization review processes. Crosses continuum of care starting with assessment and education, immediate post-procedure care and preparation for discharge and works closely with nursing staff including ICU, progressive and general care. This roles primary focus is Structural Heart.

The provider will provide health care services under the direction of a collaborating physician. Responsibilities for this opportunity include directing and coordinating a health care plan for the assigned patient population by performing physical examinations, conducting approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing appropriate interventions and medications, and collaborating with consulting physicians and health care professionals.

The schedule for this opportunity is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, 10-hour shifts.

Minimum required qualifications:

  • Master's degree Physician Assistant (AGACNP, ACNP only)
  • National certification as a Physician Assistant
  • State of Michigan License
  • Cardiology experience required
  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills

The successful candidate will be able to provide demonstrable experience working closely with physicians on the management of Structural Heart patients including clinic visits and appointments, hospital rounds, development and implementation of a medical management plan, and ongoing follow up of any patient care issues.
