Bon Secours Mercy Health is searching for an Experienced Cardiothoracic surgeon

to join our dynamic medical team in this beautiful area of coastal Virginia.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience

Seeking a Physician Leader to serve as Medical Director, Grow a Program and create a center for success! The duties will include consulting with patients, discussing treatment options, performing surgical procedures, and monitoring patient recovery.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled surgeon with extensive experience in heart and lung surgeries, also be able to collaborate with our TAVR program. We are seeking candidates with excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, teamwork, problem-solving and decision-making skills, coupled with an ability to work under high pressure.

• Full time 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday
• Average patients per day - 5-10 inpatient and 1-5 outpatient
• Caring for patients in OR, ICU and outpatient setting
• Full Spectrum Cardiothoracic Care includes rounding, surgeries, hospital consults and new patient intake
• All adult-geriatric patients
• EPIC EMR and MyChart for virtual health as appropriate
• 120 to 150 cases per year
