Physician-Medicine Service Chief

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking a full-time, Medicine Service Chief. We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans. 

Candidates must possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State. 

Highlights of this opportunity:

• • Potential starting base salary range: $275-$325K
• Permanent full-time position
• Daily schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Responsible for oversight and performance measures of all Medical Service operations.
  • Provides administrative, clinical and programmatic leadership to the service to ensure achieved performance measures.
  • Planning, developing, and directing all administrative and clinical functions of the Medical Department. This includes oversight of the inpatient acute care medical services, intensive care unit, emergency department, subspecialty services, physical therapy, ultrasound services, nuclear medicine, and respiratory therapy.
• Sign On bonus and student loan repayment
  • No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
