Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Platform Full Stack Developer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). We’re looking for a developer with the advanced skills needed to build a system from vision to production-ready system. This role is more than just coding. We need a full-stack developer on our Platform team who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. On our team, you’ll help customers overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the architecture and operating environment, including future functionality and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with development of web-services using Java, C# or Python against big-data technologies
• 3+ years of experience with development using Java Spring and Spring Security
• 3+ years of experience in working closely with software development teams
• 2+ years of experience with container tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
• 2+ years of experience with deploying Kubernetes within a platform or cloud offerings, including GCP, AWS, or Azure
• 2+ years of experience with automation tools, including SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet
• 2+ years of experience with Helm
• 1+ years working with Terraform
• Developing web applications using JavaScript/Typescript and a related framework (Angular, React, or Vue) including building HTML and CSS
• Experience with usability analysis, automated testing development (unit and E2E)
• Ability to obtain 8570 Compliance Security+ certification within 6 months of start-date
• Experience with switching between different languages and learning new ones, as necessary
• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree

  Desired Qualifications:

• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification prior to starting on contract
• Experience with the following:
  • Gitlab CI/CD pipeline creation (or Jenkins)
  • Software development against Cloud Services (Azure/AWS)
  • Working with various intelligence disciplines, including GEOINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, and SIGINT and a comprehension of the data and tools associated with these disciplines
  • Testing frameworks including Jasmine, Karma, or Selenium
  • Command-line scripting
  • Using JavaScript visualization libraries, including D3, Leaflet, Cytoscape.js, and Viz.js
  • Cloudera Data Platform
  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Apache HBase, MongoDB)
  • Experience with data streaming architectures and technologies (e.g., Kafka Streams, Flink)
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
