Job Description

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented, energetic technology minded Power Platform development technologist for immediate employment within the US. The position will report to the Environment Technology Services department and support both internal and external clients across multiple business lines including Environment, Transportation, and Water. This position will support a wide variety of AECOM projects that require application development and support within the Microsoft ecosystem. A successful candidate will work both independently and in close coordination with other developers, analysts, AECOM technical staff, project teams and clients to develop, deploy and support application solutions critical to successful project delivery.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate and collaborate with project managers, project teams, and clients to explore, assess and document application requirements.
  • Develop Power Platform applications using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI to enhance M365 Teams and SharePoint Online collaboration platforms.
  • Build Canvas generated and Model-Driven Power Apps to meet requirements of projects and clients.
  • Design, test and implement application solutions within the Dataverse framework.
  • Compose SQL queries as well as build and normalize databases in SQL/Azure SQL.
  • Develop and build data models, dashboards and reports using PowerBI with insightful visualizations and presentation.
  • Apply development and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot deployed Power Platform solutions.
  • Develop mockups, prototypes, and production level sites and applications as well as present design solutions that meet documented requirements.
  • Apply mainstream user interface and user experience best practices to develop user-friendly solutions.
  • Leverage Power Platform to automate functions and improve project efficiency, collaboration, dashboarding and data quality.
  • Works efficiently and effectively both independently and within a project team.
Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required.
Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Progressive experience developing Power Platform applications using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with designing and implementing application solutions within the Dataverse framework.
  • Some experience building external-facing sites using SharePoint Online and Power Portals.
  • Solid understanding of web development methodologies, and development, experienced with web-based technologies, including HTML code & CSS
  • JSON query language including REST services, Authentication and Authorization .Net & JavaScript/jQuery & APIs
  • Database design, maintenance, querying (views, stored procedures, indexes, primary & foreign keys, constraints, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Azure services.
  • Some proficiency in DAX and Power Query.
  • Some experience with or interest in working with MS AI Builder.
  • Strong writing, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Microsoft accreditation.
  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
  • Telecommute position with geographic flexibility (must be in the US).
