🚀 The Job Mission

As a Principal Network Engineer, you will design and configure Cyber Security solutions to enhance the security of facility networks. You will play a key role in ensuring the implementation of network security controls and standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

⚡️ Design Cyber Security solutions for network hardening and protective monitoring
⚡️ Configure Palo Alto Firewalls
⚡️ Configure Cisco 9200 and 9300 Network Switches
⚡️ Build and configure SolarWinds Network Monitoring Server
⚡️ Build and configure Virtual Machines using VMware
⚡️ Configure Meinberg M300 NTP Server
⚡️ Secure build of Windows PCs
⚡️ Produce documentation as per SL Engineering Standard ES_2479
⚡️ Implement network security controls as per SL ES_2487

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

🛠 Significant experience in control system requirements capture and delivery
🛠 Delivery experience in line with ISO/IEC 15288 or equivalent processes
🛠 Familiarity with industrial cyber security practices (BS 62443)
🛠 Experience managing PES deliverables and teams across project lifecycles
🛠 Configuration of Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Network Switches
🛠 Build and configuration of SolarWinds Network Monitoring Server
🛠 Experience with VMware and Meinberg M300 NTP Server
🛠 Secure build of Windows PCs
🛠 Familiarity with V-Model processes and PES systems delivery

Desired Skills

✔️ Familiarity with SL processes for Programmable Electronic Systems / Cyber Solutions
✔️ Experience working on the Sellafield Site and its facilities
✔️ Professional registration, CEng with a relevant institute (i.e., IET, IOP, IMC)
✔️ SC clearance and ideally Monitored Worker status
✔️ Knowledge of HAZOPS, MFDS, S&IDDS, SIDS, URS packages, CONCISE for Control system delivery

Additional Information

Security clearance:

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

Working locations will be 2-3 days on site in Hinton House
