CommScope is hiring a Principal Software Engineer in Horsham PA. We are also able to hire this position to work out of Lowell, MA. This is a hybrid opportunity that will allow the incumbent to participate in our Flex@Work program
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

As a global innovator in IP, video, and broadband technology, we continually work with our customers to transform entertainment and communications to solve the most pressing challenges of 21st century communications. You will make an impact by:

• Designing, developing, and testing software solutions written in Python, C/C++, and/or Java for use on Linux-based platform environments
• Working on virtualized ecosystems using Kubernetes, Docker, and bare-metal deployments
• Triage, debug, and/or resolve reported issues from Python orchestration modules
• Generate defect reports in Jira Atlassian tool set
• Configure and fix various network & hardware systems
• Work with and debug internet technologies (TCP, UDP, DHCP) with industry standard test equipment and processes

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required and 10 years of hands-on experience with designing and developing software
• Advanced commercial level programming experience C/C++ or Java
• Experience developing within the Linux environment
• Experience with cloud architecture, Docker virtualization, and related technologies

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

• Python programming experience.
• Experience with YANG (Yet Another Next Generation) data modeling language, JSON, XML, Spring and RESTful API
• PetaLinux, Yocto, DMA & Networking drivers, and Virtex UltraScale+ experience
• Knowledge of Git source control
• Experience in IPv4 and IPv6 networking
• Experience with PON (Passive Optical Network) concepts
• Knowledge of messaging frameworks and event driven architecture solutions such as Kafka, gRPC
• Confidence and articulation in expressing ideas to a mixed audience with varying views and challenges
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and desire to learn and implement new technologies, coupled with a strong interest in solving technological challenges and problems
