We are looking for you to join our team based out of San Diego, CA.
We seek degreed electrical or computer engineering engineers with hands-on experience in FPGA Design and Verification with VHDL.
Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for digital designs associated with multi-function software-defined radios. Systems include state-of-art radios and test equipment for military applications. Selected candidate must have proven ability to perform prototype design, build and production test. Additionally must have ability to interpret requirements and ICDs and turn them into functional firmware. The selected individual should have experience with collaborating with other engineers and cross-functional teams.
This position may be filled as a Principal Digital Engineer or Sr. Principal Digital Engineer.

Salary Range: $111,600.00 - $167,400.00Salary Range 2: $138,300.00 - $207,500.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.

- Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience; OR 3 years of experience with a Masters (MS) degree; OR 0 years of experience with a PhD
- CLEARANCE: Candidate must currently have an Interim or Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance prior to start date.
Basic Qualifications Principal Digital Engineer:
- Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 9 years of experience; OR 7 years of experience with a Masters (MS) degree; OR 4 years of experience with a PhD
- CLEARANCE: Candidate must currently have an Interim or Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with VHDL design or verification
- Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools: Xilinx ISE/ Vivado, Altera Quartus, ModelSim/QuestaSim.
- Experience with developing FPGA requirements and be able to show traceability to requirements and technical references.
- Experience with board or system level debug as well as reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Engineering (BSCE)
- Experience with very high speed interfaces and advanced manufacturing
- Familiar with multilayer board design, signal integrity, and RF communication systems
- Experience with scripting languages in support of development environment configuration and execution.
