We are seeking a qualified Asset Recovery Specialist II to work in our Irving Servicing Center. The successful candidate should be experienced in handling a vast assortment of duties found when working accounts identified as high risk and the administrative processes used to mitigate potential losses.  An experienced Asset Recovery Specialist II will be responsible for collections, necessary investigations/research, account full monitoring, account workflows, charge-off decisions, and detailed tracking of these more complex accounts affected by:
BankruptcyÂ
- Document system of record with customer’s bankruptcy informationÂ
- Communicate with attorneys, trustee, attorney staff
- Complete charge-offs in accordance with RAS/OL policy
- Assign account for repossession, as directedÂ
Total LossÂ
- Monitor/manage accounts when notified collateral is wrecked or stolenÂ
- Handle insurance claim process,
- Point of contact for customers and insurance company
- Complete Letter of Guarantee, review settlement amounts
- Assist customer with filing of GAP claim if warranted
- Strong understanding of the handling of insurance deficiencies
Deceased
- Monitor and manage accounts when notified the customer or co-buyer is deceased
- Gather vital information identifying the point of contact and determine who has possession of the unit
- Document system of record and update accordingly
- Maintain contact with the deceased’s point of contact until the account resolved
- Other tasks assigned which may require deviation from routine processes or procedures  Â
The Asset Recovery Specialist II will be expected to manage the end-to-end business process which may include multiple communications with the customer, attorney, executor, beneficiary, insurance company, agent, or adjuster. The Specialist II must demonstrate confident leadership and sound judgment while ensuring all tasks are conducted with a high degree of professionalism and minimize the company’s exposure to risk.
Requirements:
- College degree preferred but in the absence of a degree, a minimum of two years of collections and/or servicing experience in auto finance.
- 2+ Years extensive experience working with bankruptcy.Â
- Ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of working well under pressure and consistently completing tasks.
- Able to work a flexible schedule which may include overtime, if needed.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, Excel skills a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent customer service skills.
