What You Will Be Doing
This is a full-time position reporting to the Vice President of Communications, and working closely with a variety of internal ChargePoint stakeholders and external audiences to produce high-quality strategic communications, planning and tactics that will help drive awareness for ChargePoint in North America and Europe.
The ideal candidate will have experience at a company that was at the forefront of innovation and helped to drive growth in the midst of a noisy and complex industry. A corporate communications generalist at heart, this person will have a firm understanding of the range of communications disciplines including (but not limited to) corporate affairs, media relations, crisis communications, executive communications and proven experience connecting corporate strategies with market trends and opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute strategic corporate communications initiatives across project areas, to various audiences, across many verticals as a generalist.
- Executive communications and experience prepping, developing content, and influencing strategy at the executive level are a must.
- Expand analyst relations program focused on industry analysts primarily, as well as support financial analyst efforts in partnership with the Investor Relations team.
- Develop education process/programs to inform press, industry analysts and potentially Wall Street audiences where appropriate through briefings, tours, information requests, etc.
- Manage communications support for the release of material or financial information to the press and analysts (e.g. earnings reports, M&A activity, etc.).
- Foster existing, and develop new relationships with key media, analysts and influencers.
- Develop press materials and relevant types of content including press releases, communications plans, messaging documents, talking points, speeches, fact sheets, Q&A documents, and more for industry and financial analysts, press, and other stakeholders.
- Manage supporting PR agencies in North America.
Requirements and Success Factors
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, journalism, public relations preferred, but not required.
- 5-8 years of combined agency and in-house experience preferred, but not required across a diverse collection of industries, companies, or project areas.
- Experience helping an emerging brand tackle new and complex industry challenges at a startup or as part of an incubator at a larger company.
- Candidates with experience in technology, green tech, automotive, financial/Wall Street, or a combination thereof, are of particular interest. Enthusiasm for emerging markets and electric mobility a must.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts, particularly complex topics, effectively verbally and in print.
- Must possess excellent organizational, project and time management, and planning skills.
- Experience partnering with and influencing executive-level leaders.
- Ability to remain cool under pressure while managing projects of different kinds simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Track record collaborating effectively with cross-departmental teams and stakeholders.
- Organized, detail oriented, and have a solid understanding of analyst relations, public relations, and corporate communications.
- Self-starter with a positive and professional approach.
- FUN… brings energy and passion few people can turn away from.
- Willing to travel 20 – 30 percent of the time (when things return to normal post pandemic).
Location
Full time position in Campbell, CA or Remote (Northeast, West Coast).
