At Care/of, we take the guesswork out of feeling better by helping people build custom vitamin routines based on their unique needs. Whether it’s our personalized daily vitamin packs and powders through our direct-to-consumer business, or our multivitamins and blends with our retail partner Target, our products are backed by science and include a combination of highly-researched nutrients and traditionally used herbs.  What you’ll do:

We're looking for a Product Designer to join our team to deliver world-class experiences that help customers discover vitamins and supplements to support their health goals and tools to track their progress.

As a product designer, you will partner closely with our highly collaborative cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle. You'll help define problems through research and the understanding of our users, ideate and test ideas, and ship high-quality experiences to our customers. You should be comfortable performing all design duties throughout the entire design process, but we understand and expect that you will have stronger skill sets than others (i.e., stronger in interaction and visual design than research). You'll join a small and nimble Product Design team that will help you grow as a designer through collaboration and feedback. This role will report to and have added support from the Director of Product Design.

  • Partake in our design process from conception to completion
  • Collaborate with senior designers when facilitating workshops, design sprints, and other collaborative sessions
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders—including product managers, product designers, engineers, brand, marketing, and medical teams—to define and solve user problems and achieve business goals
  • Have a high-quality standard for Product Design
  • Receive design feedback professionally and patiently, and participate in design critiques
  • Contribute to our evolving design system, learning best practices, auditing, and improving our libraries
  • Evolve and create new user experiences across our digital product, including our web and mobile platforms


Where You’ll Be

We are encouraging employees (whose job responsibilities allow) to work remotely with the option of returning to our NoHo (Manhattan) office. We are committed to prioritizing workspace flexibility by building systems to create an inclusive and productive environment where employees feel most comfortable working (role permitting). 

You’ll ideally be based in NYC and expected to spend time working at our headquarters during collaborative and planning sessions, with the option to work remotely for the remainder of the time.


Who you are:
  • 2–4 years of experience in Product Design or design related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a design-related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience delivering high-quality product experiences with highly collaborative cross-disciplinary teams
  • Portfolio showcasing your design point of view, including user-centric design methodologies, interaction flows, prototyping, high-fidelity screens, shipped products, and business outcomes
  • Fluency in Figma
  • Strong and clear communication skills
  • Willingness to continue learning and growing as a designer

Extra Carrots 🥕 (preferred, but not required)

  • 2+ years of experience designing at a product-led organization
  • Experience designing consumer health and wellness products
  • Experience with iOS and Android app design
  • Experience with UI animation and best practices
  • Experience designing in a gamification field

Salary & Bonus

NYC Metro-Area Salary Range: $98,000-$115,000

Role Level: L2

Your compensation for this role will be based on how your experience aligns with our internal role-leveling, and our internal pay equity standards.

You will be eligible to participate in our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), a cash bonus. Our AIP rewards the achievement of annual company and individual performance objectives. Each employee’s target opportunity for an annual incentive award is a percentage of base salary and varies per role level.

*We have a location-based compensation structure; candidates in other locations may have a different range.
