POSITION SUMMARY

Would you like to work with a team of passionate, pop culture enthusiasts? The Product Development Coordinator (Entertainment) defines and coordinates elements of product content on a wide variety of projects based on entertainment and pop culture themes - with a strong emphasis on our Marvel publishing and cinematic licenses. Working closely with cross-departmental team members, the Coordinator is responsible for the creation and management of set checklists, acquisition of materials used for content in trading card products (e.g. comic books), budgeting and allocation of autograph contracts, editorial review of trading card grids, layouts, etc. and review of production work orders for accuracy and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and maintains product checklists for physical trading card and digital products (e.g. NFTs).
  • Influences and maintains product-by-product budgets for autographs, materials and original artwork content.
  • Allocates memorabilia, autograph and original artwork content, updating for any changes to product requirements or sales volumes.
  • Creates and manages spreadsheets detailing product content requirements, inventory levels and budgets.
  • Acts as an interdepartmental point of contact for the Product Development Team, working with other team members to ensure that product content requirements are maintained throughout the production cycle.
  • Performs editorial reviews of trading card printing proof sheets; compiling and coordinating modifications.
  • Works with Project Managers to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of content deliverables from the creative stage all the way through to final production.
  • Surveys, tracks and understands the current secondary market values of physical and digital cards, and autographs from featured talent.

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • College Degree preferred

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Hands-on, energetic and motivated self-starter who loves pop culture and the Marvel Universe
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills coupled with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor. Ability to interface with internal and external parties at all levels. Team player orientation.
  • Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to create and maintain complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in the following Microsoft software: Office, ACCESS, Excel (advanced) knowledge preferred.
  • Some experience in Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of basic budgeting.
  • Familiarity with editorial review/proofreading.
  • General knowledge of modern era trading card and comic book collectibles
  • Advanced knowledge of Marvel Universe characters (comics and movies)
  • Familiarity with actors and actresses appearing in Marvel movies and shows
  • Ability to work additional hours as required, in order to meet deadlines, etc.
