Product Engineering Intern

Fluidra is seeking multiple Product Engineering Interns that will work with our Engineering Lab and Product Design teams in Carlsbad, CA. This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience working with products that involve mechanical, electrical and software components. Come be a part of a growing organization for the summer of 2024! Internship expected to run Mid-May – August (dates flexible based on school schedule). 

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE  

The Product Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting our design and test engineers with research and development related to gas fired pool heaters, automatic pool cleaners, water chlorination systems, pressure and filtration pumps, valves, and controls. As an Engineering intern, they will have the following key responsibilities: 

• Assist with conducting design verification tests as specified by the Project Engineers and Test Engineers.
• Work with Engineers to set up, build, or modify test rigs and product prototypes
• Help collect and analyze test data
• Maintain and operate various types of test equipment
• Assist in maintaining water chemistry in lab test tanks
• Assist with shipping and receiving of product samples and prototypes
• Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the engineering lab by participating in 5S

• Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment in a typical engineering lab
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Windows XP environments.

• Solidworks CAD Experience is preferred

EDUCATION  

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Mechanical or Electrical College degree in process or completed is preferred.
