Location: Aligned to an Elevance Health office, but eligible to work remotely. Ideally the candidate would sit in a market they support, but willing to consider other locations for the best fit candidate.

The Product Management Director will be accountable for our Commercial Large Group portfolios for specific markets, for insured and alternate-funded business. In this role, you will partner with leaders in each local market to assess our competitive and strategic positioning, evaluate new opportunities, and ensure that our portfolios, packages and buy-up programs are competitive and supporting our goals for growth and profitability. Measure, monitor and refine portfolio strategies to optimize product performance and achievement of expected results. Engage with the local sales teams to drive our product strategy and to support client-specific product solutions. Our ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical, collaborative, consultative and a critical thinker.

How you will make an impact:

• Develops, implements and maintains competitive product platform.
• Partners with local markets, product managers and project team to achieve superior execution of product strategy in the marketplace.
• Tracks product and portfolio performance by benefit design, market segment and geography.
• Supports the development of short and long term strategic product plans in support of market, sales and profitability objectives.
• Identifies system needs to support short and long term product strategy.
• May lead effort or manage project teams in the implementation of regional and companywide initiatives including legislative changes, network/provider changes/ medical management program and policy initiatives, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

• Experience and knowledge in healthcare insurance industry is strongly preferred.
• MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in data-driven product management, product development, and product marketing preferred.
• Experience in project execution with high level of execution focus preferred.
• Experience in building strong internal and external relationships with key teams/stakeholders strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in critical thinking, collecting and synthesizing data for strategic and executive decision-making preferred.
• Ability to navigate complex matrix organizations to drive decisions and results preferred.
• Comfort with driving detailed work independently and on compressed timelines preferred.
• Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties highly preferred.
• Experience interacting confidently with senior management, as s subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office products, most notably Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Word preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $101,040 to $181,872
