Product Manager 4x4 GPC Asia Pacific

The Role

With a strong mechanical aptitude, the successful candidate will develop and grow the products in our 4x4 category. Using effective product management methodologies, you will work closely with the wider Merchandise team to deliver new product development and enhancements in the 4x4 category. You will be instrumental in building our own brand programs and establishing strong relationships and growth opportunities with key 4x4 industry leading brands and suppliers, both domestic and international.

Preferred location Rowville, Victoria, however, will consider candidates based in Glendenning, NSW or Brisbane, QLD.

What You Will Do:

• Research & develop new product ranges, review and maintain a range of products to meet business & market objectives and ensure sustained success (performance, sales, service)
• Ensure products meet relevant quality standards and specifications fit for the Australian and New Zealand conditions
• Ensure all products are accurately catalogued; manage and maintain catalogue data and work closely with suppliers and the electronic catalogue teams across AU and NZ
• Develop strong relationships with key vendors

• Manage the product lifecycle for appropriate ranges

• Manage the end to end execution process (identify, develop, design, test, launch) for new products or programs

• Monitor, review, analyse and remain at the forefront of 4x4 industry, market trends and competitive environment

• Respond to technical inquiries from our internal and external customers
• Represent the 4x4 Category at Trade Shows (ability to travel interstate and overseas required)

About You:

• Have a mechanical aptitude (automotive, engineering etc)
• Possess Product Management experience 5 years +
• Have experience sourcing products from local and overseas suppliers
• An understanding of sales analysis and forecasting
• Possess technical experience relevant to portfolio products
• Intermediate MS Office
• The ability to work across a broad product suite and take a pragmatic approach to your work
