Product Manager

Every single day OkCupid is responsible for 40,000 first dates, some of which turn into people finding their life partner. Our team focuses on monetization for OkCupid’s core subscription and a la carte offerings. As a Product Manager focusing on monetization, you will help shape our growth strategy.  You will have the autonomy to test and iterate on that strategy with our customers. Your decisions will directly contribute to OkCupid’s growth.

You will be empowered to set ambitious goals for your team. These goals will not be easy to achieve; they should inspire and motivate the team to think big. You will not be evaluated based on whether you deliver capabilities, but whether you have delivered significant business impact.

Lead the strategy, planning, delivery and in-life optimization to deliver on product KPIs.

Incorporate both quantitative and qualitative user testing and analytics into the decision-making and product road-mapping processes.

Work with engineers to define product requirements and then lead those teams to deliver.

Analyze, understand and share learnings from experimentation to build a strong knowledge base of the product.

Analyze lots of data, including opportunity analysis and test result analysis.

Use that data analysis to define product vision and future direction by generating new product and feature ideas that will impact the business.

Research markets and competitors.

Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and designers.

3+ years professional experience in consumer mobile or internet software product management experience.

Problem solvers. 

Someone who is curious, thinks through problems from the ground up, and drives execution.

Someone with strong analytical capabilities, using data to guide decisions.

Someone who is meticulous, but able to iterate quickly.

Someone who is comfortable defining success metrics and making data-driven design decisions.

A self-starter attitude; an ambitious person that seeks new challenges.

Humility, thoughtfulness and a fine sense of humor. This is important.
