Pumpkin is looking for a passionate and innovative Product Manager to lead our growth strategy, developing and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating our customer base. In this role, you’ll champion a culture of experimentation, constantly iterating and refining strategies through data-driven insights and user feedback to optimize product performance and user engagement. Leveraging your expertise you’ll be responsible for journeys and experiences that resonate with consumers and the clinics treating their pets. Collaborating closely with Design and Engineering, your impact will position Pumpkin as the go-to choice for pet owners seeking high-quality pet insurance products!

This will be a hybrid position, with a minimum requirement of 2 days a week in the New York City office.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the ideation, prioritization, and execution of new features and product enhancements that align with Pumpkin's mission of prioritizing pet health and delivering exceptional value to pet owners.

  • Act as our customer’s biggest advocate through developing a deep understanding of user personas, pain points and journeys, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of every decision.
  • Embrace the MVP concept, distilling the product down to what is desirable, viable, and feasible, and continuously iterating and enhancing based on user feedback and market demands.
  • Leverage data to identify opportunities, uncover insights, and make compelling cases for action, driving informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, design, and business stakeholders, to scope, design, concept test, and deliver innovative solutions that delight our customers and drive business growth.
  • Monitor and report on product KPIs and the impact of features to stakeholders and leaders, fostering transparency and accountability while driving continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in B2C technology forward organizations
  • Demonstrated track record of success driving growth and optimizing user experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic thinking abilities to translate high-level business objectives into actionable product initiatives, possessing an insightful eye for identifying growth opportunities and driving product innovation.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making, proficient in leveraging metrics, KPIs, and user insights to inform product strategy and measure success.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, effectively aligning stakeholders across cross-functional teams where teamwork and adaptability are paramount.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where sharing ideas, embracing diverse perspectives, and adapting to changing priorities are essential for success.
  • Genuine passion for animals and a deep understanding of the bond between pets and their families. Your dedication to improving the lives of pets and their owners will be at the core of everything you do at Pumpkin.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in the pet health industry or with pet-related products/services.
  • Experience working in B2C or B2B tech product organization
  • Experience or knowledge of the insurtech space
