The Consumables Production Lead will be a highly skilled production operator ensuring that we meet Production Targets while maintaining high quality levels. This role will also oversee Production Documentation and will be responsible for helping production maintain GMP in Operations. This position will require being able to communicate production plans, lead the production team, and navigate team dynamics such as team conflicts, motivation, and engagement. The 2nd shift hours are 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM EST.  Four (4), 10 hour days.


Reports to Manufacturing Manager – Consumables. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works in a safe manner and follows safety rules at all times. 
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate issues/resolutions to production management. 
  • Ability to learn how to troubleshoot systems. 
  • Ability to patiently Manage up to 15 employees.  
  • Manage the PHR Review and Correction Processensuring GMP is followed. 
  • Responsible for managing an up to date Preventative Maintenance Schedule. 
  • Function as the leader of the shift whooversees attendance, break coverage,emergencies and evacuations,reporting personnel performance issues, reporting production issues, managing interdepartmental communication. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to higher management. 
  • Primary for receiving and communicating shift pass downs. 
  • Ability to hold team members accountable for meeting production targets. 
  • Must be able to develop team members technical skills and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, supports and drives process improvements and team culture. 
  • Ensure that materials are stocked, kitted and prepared for the production day. 
  • Able to process transactions in SAP on a daily basis 
  • Able to do shift startups and shift shutdowns 
  • All other duties assigned by Manager. 

Qualifications, Experience:

  • HS diploma and 2 years’ experience or Associates degree. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and routinely. 
  • Must be able to read and write effective enough to manage CGMP documentation Practices. 
  • Must be able to lead and manage team dynamics such conflict, motivation, and engagement. 
  • Excellent aseptic process/laboratory skills. 
  • Ability to adhere to a production schedule 
  • Ability to work overtime (off schedule and/or periodic weekends)
