OnsiteCollins Aerospace is seeking a Cabin Integration Program Chief Engineer for our Cabin Monuments & Integration Engineering team in Everett, WA. This Chief Engineering role allows you to oversee a team of 5-10 Project Engineers (Systems Integration Project Team Leads), and support a variety of cabin integration programs including development of front row furniture and monuments, as well as, integration programs culminating in certification (like STCs). As Chief Engineer, both breadth and depth of technical experience as essential. The Chief Engineer will need to demonstrate the capability to develop and govern the execution of product development.Key Responsibilities:

- Accountable for technical execution of cabin integration programs
- Ensure IPTs complete accurate decomposition of program requirements, guaranteeing that all project aspects are thoroughly addressed
- Champion process maturity and continuous improvement
- Accountable for managing cost, schedule, and risks to drive success of projects
- Drive efforts to meet DTC goals - balancing quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness
- Conduct and oversee trade studies to evaluate project alternatives, making data-driven decisions that optimize project outcomes
- Lead a team of direct report engineers, each of whom is a Systems Integrated Product Team (SIPT) Lead engineer for development programs of various sizes
- Mentor, develop, and coach your team while fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and innovation
- Support the development of bids and proposals for new products
- Provide leadership, training, coaching, and oversight of an engineering team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with program management, design engineering, verification & validation engineering, and other team members to achieve elegant and reliable solutions
- Managing costs, schedules, and risks associated with the program
- Implement robust change management processes
- Review, maintain, and optimize standard work instructions ensuring both process completeness along with process speed
- Lead your team in implementing continuous improvements
- Acquire and develop engineering talent through recruiting, hiring, and management processes
- May travel 10%
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Proven Project Engineering or comparable technical field
- Strong systems or requirement compliance background
- Program Management Skills like IMS Development, Earned Value Experience, etc.
- Aerospace and aircraft experience
- Certification experience including working with FAA, EASA, and designated representatives is a plus
