Job Summary
FreeWheel is looking for a Program Manager who will take on the management of moderately complex strategic programs and internal initiatives with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. This can be an in NY office or remote role anywhere in the US. The program manager will drive the complete life cycle of moderately complex programs, including discovery, business planning, execution, and budget management to ensure planned objectives are achieved on time. Program Manager will coordinate the activities of a cross-functional team. The program manager will be able to work with minimum guidance while ensuring high quality delivery of FreeWheel programs.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the central point of contact (POC) on moderately complex programs containing 1-2 sub-projects/workstreams for strategic internal initiatives.
- Manage a cross-functional team of internal senior resources to coordinates activities across multiple workstreams, manage dependencies and risks of workstreams to overall program.
- Creates program and project plans based on business needs and timeline, including critical path, key milestones, and deliverables – adjusting accordingly.
- Ensure that all initiatives are delivered on-time and within scope & budget.
- Maintains an awareness of industry trends as well as overall business goals/objectives & strives to arrive at solutions that benefit the business & clients.
- Maintains an awareness of the broader GPMO portfolio (outside of owned programs) and can connect themes to improve overall delivery.
- Use formal Project Management processes and tools to manage resources, deliverables, risks, and scope change.
- Identify project scope, objectives, and stakeholders. Manage changes to project scope and schedule using appropriate verification techniques
- Maintain communication with stakeholders. Deliver status reports to Directors+, vendors, stakeholders, and resources, tailoring language to audience.
- Identify and address problems through risk management and contingency planning and present solutions and/or options to executive management.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Measures and reports on program performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Create and maintain comprehensive program documentation throughout the lifecycle of the engagement.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Proven work experience in program management in the information technology sector or similar
- Comfort for ambiguity – able to drive toward clarity and define objective, critical milestones, actionable tasks and owners.
- Ability to communicate concise, key messages to stakeholders through written and verbal means to create action, awareness, and inform as needed based on audience roles.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a quick-delivery environment without losing attention to detail or quality.
- Exhibits high Program Management skills and best practices.
- Knowledge of software or product development lifecycles, methodologies, and processes a plus
- Experience managing project and program budgets.
- Experience running programs with 1-2 sub projects/workstreams.
- Exhibits high business acumen outside of owned programs.
- Ability to proactively identify process improvements and execute on ideas.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence and project mgmt UIs (Monday, Asana, Workday, etc)
- Change Management certification a plus
- PMP/Prince2 MSP certification a plus

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $103,444.95 - $155,167.42
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
