We are looking for a new colleague to join our team in Washington, MI!

Position Summary:Responsible for managing projects within the business unit in accordance with ZF's new product introduction management process requirements and is responsible for managing all aspects of a project over the entire lifetime of the project as shown by the following process groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing.

Responsibilities:
  • Support acquisition activities during pre-award phases on a case-by-case basis as agreed with program management director and/or sales management lead.
  • Manage the customer interface from award through post launch phases.
  • Interface with all areas affected by the project, ensure successful integration of all project work products.
  • Balance the competing demands of scope, time and cost while achieving the highest quality and stakeholder/customer satisfaction levels.
  • Monitor progress of projects through internal reviews, participate in team meetings and assist where needed, resolve escalated issues internally and with the customer.
  • Support existing programs that have major changes directed by the customer and participate in VAVE cost reduction activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in project management, engineering, or related technical field required.
  • Professional Certifications: Preferred CAPM certification through the Program Management Institute (PMI)
  • Three (3) to Six (6) years' experience in Automotive Industry product development with at least two (2) years of project management experience. English language proficiency required, Spanish, or German is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Project and MS Office.
