Summary
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, Assistant Commandant for Acquisition (CG-9), Program Executive Officer (CG-93), Office of Aviation Acquisitions (CG-931), Washington, D.C.

Works to achieve and maintain Level II Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) Certification within 12 months of onboarding.
Works to achieve and maintain Level II Program Management Certification within 24 months of onboarding.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14: Applicants must possess specialized experience equivalent to 1 year of experience at the next lower grade level (GS-13) that is similar to experience gained in the Federal sector. Examples of specialized experience include:
- Establishing guidelines for performance expectations and evaluating performance of staff members
- Coordinating budget submissions, obligation and expenditure plans, and implementation strategies
- Preparing reports and other presentations on project planning, evaluation, and execution
- Originating and establishing unique methods and applications that provide innovative solutions to complex business issues.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
