Project Manager

Clariant is currently looking for a Project Manager to join the Adsorbents and Additives Business Unit in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Project Manager is accountable for all project deliverables; budget, timeline, quality, health, safety, environment/sustainability, and compliance. They will work with stakeholders to manage the planning, design, and execution of projects. The Project Manager will also act on behalf of Clariant regarding external relations including customers, suppliers, and various associations.

Responsibilities• Explore potential business cases and manage all required interfaces internally and externally • Lead projects and maintain engagement with stake holders • Prepare all project documentation and manage all activities for the required approvals • Provide detailed activity and resource planning • Define project metrics (i.e., financial, operational, safety, and customer related) • Ensure project plans are executed according to the approved plan• Ensure action plan is in place and adhered to • Ensure project related spend and procurement processes are managed according to Clariant guidelines • Manage project execution communication • Ensure project closure and hand-over to process owner • Monitor project outcome and performance against pre-defined metrics. • Lead, motivate, and engage project team• Manage project team performance and implement action when/where required • Drive project deliverables to improve Sustainability • Participate on Local Emergency Management team

Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, and/or Civil Engineering required• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience required • 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment preferred• Lean Sigma Six Green Belt Certified • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or PRINCE II certification preferred • Must be organized, collaborative, and able to work autonomously without formal authority
