Job Description

Position Purpose

The Project Manager, Digitization New Technologies is responsible for the project management of the development and testing of new technologies associated with the Serialization + program for North America. The Serialization + program includes both pallet serialization and pallet tracking (Targeted & Continuous Diagnostics) work streams. Continually working to optimize the workstreams through the identification and adoption of new processes and technologies will be critical to long term program success.

Theis leader will primarily direct their team to:

  • Identify challenges with the current processes and technologies.
  • Work with S+ program leaders to identify potential options.
  • Test options in a pilot setting using a structured methodology
  • Oversea the pilot setting. Includes responsibility for safety and welfare of the test team.
  • Provide recommendations on process and / or technology feasibility / scalability.
  • Manage the project funnel and associated communications using Agile ways of working and change management methodologies across the program.

The role will work with a wide variety of functions including but not limited to; Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Global S+, IT, Global product development, and Change management, to achieve their goals.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the support of pilot plant activities, developing and documenting best practices and SOP’s, and will drive the scaling efforts for the serialization program across North America.

Scope

Located in Orlando, FL and flexibility to travel 25%.

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Utilize and support the change management framework associated with a network level process change.
  • Manage technology transfer for processes and technologies approved for pilot phase and beyond.
  • Manage the execution of processes with the on-site serialized leader and support sites continuous improvement efforts and projects with serialized data.
  • Become the subject matter expert for all technologies related to serialization and TD / CD activities, including but not limited to:
    • Association scanning
    • Calibration processes
    • Tagging applications
    • Tagging maintenance
    • QR detection and various plant modifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or other related field
  • Technology adoption or development considered an asset.
  • 2 years of experience in project management in a supply chain, digital operations, and/or continuous improvement function preferred.

Experience

  • Experience in a plant operations or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to write & understand standard operating procedure (SOP)
  • Experience in KPI’s reporting and action plan development
  • Experience in deploying new initiatives and process improvement
  • Proven ability to coordinate & lead activities remotely
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional training sessions
  • Experience with data collection & usage of Microsoft office suite
  • Experience managing a budget and developing a business case is considered an asset
  • Change management experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Good understanding of warehouse and transportation
  • Procedures/operations; strong problem solving, organization, decision-making, communication, and time management skills
  • Computer System/Skill Requirements: Strong Microsoft office skills required (PPT, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Knowledge of SAP, COLT, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, and Coupa. Understanding of Brix system is desirable
