About the Team

The Team is involved in a number of projects that are released to customers. The team works in a Scrum cycle with Sprints. The team consists of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developers and QA’s who all contribute to successful releases. QA Engineers work on tickets throughout the Sprint as well as conducting QA on pre release environments as well as Live.

What you’ll be doing

· Review and analyze system specifications

· Back-End QA 

· Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans 

· Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results 

· Evaluate product code according to specifications 

· Create logs to document testing phases and defects 

· Report bugs and errors to development teams 

· Help troubleshoot issues 

· Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing 

· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Our philosophy around building ZigZag tech:

· 1+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role 

· Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing 

· Ability to document and troubleshoot errors 

· Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. TestRail, Zephyr) and SQL 

· Excellent communication skills 

· Attention to detail 

· Critical thinker and good problem-solver 

· Strong organizational skills 

· Ability to develop Check Lists, and determinate and estimate testing level and scope 

· Excellent spoken and written English 

· Experience working with REST APIs and Postman is an advantage 

· Working knowledge with JIRA and Confluence 

· Working knowledge of an OOP language is an advantage
