Job Overview

The QA lead heads up the QA practice and is responsible for ensuring that projects/product meet the stringent level of quality required to be deployed to a production environment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that built products meet the required level of quality
• Accountable for approval of tested products deployment to a production environment
• Fostering a QA culture among the SW Engineering teams and managing a growing QA practice
• Test automation: implementing and maintaining test environment, design and develop UI and API test cases for UI and APIs, maintaining scalable test automation
• User acceptance testing with clients
• Load and performance testing
• Security testing and evaluation
• Leading and managing the QA practice
• Works with the Tech Solutions Leads and Tech Leads to foster a QA first environment in all product development and reduction in defect quantity.
• Works with the Product Team to guarantee all tasks have sufficient acceptance criteria to allow design and development of test cases
• Works with the Operations Lead to optimise automation of testing where possible
• Working with the Delivery team to ensure products are delivered to schedule

Skills & Qualifications

• Leadership skills to inspire and motivate the team. 
• Bringing change to organisations. 
• Excellent and frequent communicator. 
• Strong stakeholder management skills. 
• Decision maker. 
• Experience with JavaScript/NodeJS, TypeScript, Python, Cypress or other test automation frameworks 
• Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) 
• Experience in implementing and working with CI/CD pipelines 
• 8+ yrs QA experience
