We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-level QA specializing in API Automation Testing to join our Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate has experience designing, implementing, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires technical experience in API testing, writing automation tests, and excellent communication skills.

*For this position we are only considering candidates that are already based in Croatia!

We’d like for you to:

• Create and perform exploratory tests vs. REST APIs and their underlying integrations
• Design, develop, and maintain automated REST API test cases and test suites 
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into existing CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, define test scenarios, and prioritize testing efforts
• Drive the adoption of automation testing within the organization, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
• Create and maintain documentation related to automated testing frameworks, test cases, and test results

If you’ve got:

• Three years of experience in software quality assurance
• A year of writing, executing, and maintaining automation tests
• Experience with API testing and frameworks such as Postman, ReadyAPI, RestAssured, etc.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of QA best practices
• Excellent knowledge of the English language

And can demonstrate (or are excited about!):

• Testing microservice architectures, messaging queues, service integrations, etc.
• Testing in cloud-based (AWS) and/or virtualized environments (Docker)
• Knowledge of automation testing frameworks and tools such as Unittest, Pytest, TestNG, or JUnit
• Experience with management systems and SQL queries for data validation
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD
• Experience working with Linux OS 
• Performing code reviews and providing feedback to developers on testability and quality aspects
• Planning, organizing, and executing testing activities within project timelines
• Experience with performance testing tools like Locust, JMeter, or LoadRunner
• Understanding of security testing concepts and techniques, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
