Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for quality management by providing inspections based on company processes and ISO standards, performing machine checkouts and functional tests, and coordinating documentation with our German parent company. This role will be out on the shopfloor completing in house part inspections 80% of the time and visiting supplier sites 20% of the time. In this role, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer and interface with multiple departments.
Education & experience:

• Technical Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering documentation apprenticeship, or similar educational discipline
• 5+ of years of experience
• Preferred experience with welding and weldment inspections

Qualifications:

• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and inspection processes
• Experience with ISO standards and excellent documentation ability
• Communication skills and ability to work with a team
• Experience with all typical MS-Office-tools
• Driver’s license

Job responsibilities:

• Inspection of single parts and assembly groups based on company processes and ISO standards
• Performing machine checkouts and functional tests for quality performance KPI
• Ensure interfaces to all involved departments (Engineering, Procurement, Assembly, etc.)
• Filing and checkout documentation and certification for completeness and accuracy
• Recognize non-conformities according to protocol in a timely manner
• Observance if processes are being held
• Administration of measurement tools including release and suspension
• Travelling to supplier’s sites for quality checks of components and assemblies
• Audits and performance reviews of suppliers

Compensation/Benefits:

• Compensation Range: $70,000 – $85,000
