ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides services which include but are not limited to rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.Â
Job Summary:Â
Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a full-time Quality Technician for our Quality Team to support the quality requirements of incoming and outgoing material and products.
Responsibilities and Duties:Â
- Perform inspections of materials, purchased parts, and internally made parts.
- Document all inspections results using visual, dimensional methods and standards on company documentation forms.
- Review specifications and drawings to understand the product requirements.
- Reject incoming materials that fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department.Â
- Communicate and help resolve quality-related issues while adhering to project deadlines.
- Assist in developing inspection standards and processes.
- Assist with the coordination of calibrated equipment.
- Recommend improvement measures to processes to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Generate Nonconformance Reports or Corrective Actions when required.
- Assist with updates to the Quality Management System and participate in internal and external audits.
- Work with multiple departments to support production and increase awareness of quality requirements.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:Â
- US CitizenÂ
- Proficiency and experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicatorsÂ
- Technical hands-on capability with attention to detail.Â
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsÂ
- 3+ years of experienceÂ
Desired Skills/Experience:Â
- ISO 9001/AS 9100DÂ
- J-STD-001 and/or WHMA/IPC-A-620Machining experienceÂ
- Experience with composites fabricationÂ
- Experience with aircraft avionicsÂ
- Technical Writing: Build guides, schematics, wiring diagrams, reporting/reviewing, etc.
- Experience with parts and inventory managementÂ
