THE POSITION
As a Quality Control (QC) Associate you will work as part of the Quality Control team to test that all raw materials and finished goods meet defined specifications, in terms of consistency and performance. In this role, you will use advanced laboratory techniques to identify any potential issues in materials or completed products. Techniques will include analytical chemistry tests as well as functional tests using next generation sequencing. Strong candidates will be motivated to learn new laboratory skills as well as how to interpret results from genomics assays.
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL
- Be responsible for performing tests to ensure consistent, high quality of our single cell products
- Interpret and communicate results of QC tests to others on the QC and manufacturing team
- Become an expert on metrics relevant to single cell sequencing
- Create and maintain detailed records for QC of every reagent lot
- Coordinate with members of the manufacturing team as well as the commercial operations team
- Critically assess the process by which QC is performed on different products and raw materials
- Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures for QC
- Identify patterns or trends in QC data that require escalation
- Train other members of the quality control team on different procedures

- Someone excited to collaborate with a dynamic team while also taking ownership over QC tests
- The ability and desire to learn new skills and become an expert on single cell sequencing
- An attention to detail and with the ability to identify and escalate mistakes or problems
- Ability to carefully follow Standard Operating Procedures and make improvements when necessary
- Experience with molecular biology and/or chemistry laboratory techniques
- A Bachelor’s degree in a life science field, chemistry, or engineering
 JOB CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work in a laboratory environment while wearing PPE consistent with the requirements of BSL-1, or, when applicable, BSL-2 laboratories
- Standing for extended periods, and occasionally carrying and/or lifting up to 30 pounds is requiredÂ

Market Pay Range - Exact compensation will be dependent on skills, education and experience relevant to the position
$48,000—$72,000 USD
