RESPONSIBILITIES
• The R&D Verification Engineer joins the Distribution Business Unite ("DBU") to conduct software testing of ANSYS applications such as Discovery product line, SpaceClaim, and Associative CAD interfaces and plugins.
• This role will help to assess how well the product meets customer needs both in functionality and usability and ensure that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied as per the company's quality procedures.
• The individual will work closely with other members of the product creation team and communicate with technical specialists on product issues.
• The individual will create, modify, and review test cases.
• They will create, modify, and maintain automated regression tests, and scripts.
• They will investigate any test failures to arrive at the cause of the issue.
• At all times they will bring forward any major concerns with the product and work with other team members to ensure that any major concerns are addressed.
• Specific job duties include performing functional and regression testing in manual and/or automated test environments, verify defect fixes, write software defect reports and enhancement requests;
• Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes;
• Work in a variety of computing environments: Windows, Linux, VM's, Compute Clusters, and Cloud.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree for foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.
• Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
- Experience with testing and verification of software products;
- Experience with Graphical User Interface testing;
- Experience using Ansys products: Discovery, SpaceClaim, Workbench and Mechanical;
- Experience with CAE/CAD tools including NX, Inventor, Creo, Catia, SolidWorks and AutoCAD;
- Experience with Windows, Linux, VMs, Compute Cluster and Cloud platforms;
- Experience with standard processes within: Agile methodology, ADO, Visual Studio and Git
• Additional work location information: May permit telecommuting within commuting distance to Ansys headquarters
