Job Summary

The RCPO Manager's role is to grow Certified Pre-Owned sales with the goal of bringing consumers into the Nissan family and keeping them in the family for future new vehicle sales and aftersales opportunities.

Responsible for the communication and implementation of all NNA marketing and sales initiatives that support Nissan Certified Pre-Owned including Nissan Rental Cars (NRC), NESNA and NMAC penetrations expectations, inventory optimization, Dealer engagement and vendor utilization activities. Develops, communicates and implements tactical programs that drive CPO sales, including; objective setting, program tracking, communication and program payout. Works with field force to prioritize market opportunities and align vendor resources. Conducts in dealership visits to create action plans for incremental sales. Also conducts in dealership visits with Dealer leadership to attain new CPO commitments, to convert dealers to selling Nissan CPO. Ensures that dealerships understand resource requirements for success and provides training for both dealers and DOMs to support the execution of organizational objectives.

Works collaboratively with cross-functional groups to drive additional revenue through CPO:

Financial Service Managers (FSM) from NMAC to grow finance penetration on CPO sales. NESNA and Market Source Vendors to expand sales of NESNA wraps on CPO sales. GP Sandy trainers - coordinates vendor responsibilities for GP Sandy CPO consultants for dealer training activities and program implementation. Coordinates priority dealers and markets with DOMs or FOMs to focus on CPO growth. Identifies any recurring concerns in dealerships relating to inadequate vehicle preparation or eligible vehicle noncompliance. Monitors dealer contact summaries within Dealer 360 and handles any escalation requests from Frontline Performance Group, Market Source, or GP Sandy related to noncompliance, engaging field and regional staff and national when appropriate. Works with the region's Marketing and Aftersales departments on strategies to increase CPO loyalty and service retention for future sales. Reviews reports from auditing vendor (Carcannon) and operational support vendor (Frontline Performance Group) to monitor and track that dealers are adequately following vehicle eligibility rules and conducting proper reconditioning of CPO and NRC vehicles. Tracks statistics and revenue about CPO and reports to DOMs routinely to assist in presenting the business case for selling CPO. Extracts and interprets sales data from MicroStrategy software and NRC portal. Identifies impact on dealership Pre-Owned gross performance and parts sales relating to certification and reconditioning of CPO vehicles, utilizing dealer financial statements and composite reports. Evaluates impact on new vehicle sales through routine dialog with DOM and dealerships.

Minimum Qualifications and Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive Marketing and Sales experience, including a minimum of 2 years of analytical experience in various specialties of the automotive industry including:

Prior work may be a combination within a dealership, region, headquarters, or manufacturing facility and may be at the Analyst level or similar type of position.

Job Abilities & Skill:

  • General understanding of the new vehicle, CPO, and rental programs and their value to increase customer loyalty and drive vehicle sales.
  • Working knowledge of word processors, spreadsheets, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products. Additional knowledge of sales-related systems.
  • Ability to prioritize own schedules and organize workload effectively with general daily supervision.
  • Ability to function effectively and remain productive in an office environment.
  • Dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
