JOB DESCRIPTION:

We aim to lead the markets we serve by requiring the solutions we offer customers provide an improved benefit/risk profile as compared to existing standards of care; a performance threshold that by definition, guides and ensures the productive output of our engineering, business development, and clinical research efforts result in outcomes that advance the standard of care.
We are hiring a RSD for Structural Hearts' TAVI team in the Southeast region. The Regional Sales Director must live in the geography of the region. Travel required is 50-75%.
The RSD position will report to the US Area Vice President. This position ensures that the assigned region meets or exceeds sales, clinical outcomes and profitability objectives as directed by the Area Vice President. To accomplish this, the Regional Sales Director formulates sales and clinical strategies for markets within the assigned geography to attain revenue goals and deliver exceptional clinical support objectives set by the company. This role assist's territory managers and clinical sales specialist to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential to establish and achieve sales and clinical objectives. The Regional Sales Director also leads and coaches the activities of territory managers, clinical sales specialist to develop a high performing team for commercial and clinical trial activity responsibilities. The RSD will assist in contract negotiation, customer support, performance and career management of their direct reports and assist with developing their teams' clinical competency. The RSD will coach on how to proactively support TAVI procedures to achieve safe outcomes as well as drive continuing education within their region to ensure quality and exceptional customer support. This role will assist in the shaping of the US TAVI franchise.
What You'll Do
- Recruit, onboard, coach for sales and clinical performance and develop direct reports.
- Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives and empower the team to assist in the development of the TAVI franchise. Assist individuals with quarterly goals, development plans and provide annual performance reviews.
- Foster proper targeting and drive customer and account engagement planning to advance the commercial sales process.
- Provide sales forecasting and participate in quarterly LBE planning with the Area Vice President.
- Oversight of clinical trial procedures and process and ensure compliance to optimize exceptional customer experience and excellence in best practices while generating clinical evidence.
- Drive 100% utilization and team compliance with SFDC, Mentor, Power BI, Vablet and other sales process and aides.
- Work in the field providing case support and sales coaching quarterly with your team visiting customers while ensuring clinical competencies and sales advancement.
- Create an entrepreneurial and supportive learning work environment by offering weekly team calls and quarterly meetings as coordinated with Area Vice President.
- Demonstrate effective change leadership with engaging in strategic initiatives.
- Build strategic cross functional partnerships to further franchise and organizational objectives specifically, marketing, training, market development, EA and clinical trial.
- Develop and execute organizational and operational policies by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g., compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
- Make decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules to achieve objectives.
- Develop, monitor for compliance, and adjust the annual budget for the region.
- Approval of direct report expense reports and address compliance issues as needed.
Experience You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of interventional cardiology experienceor 2+ years of college education with 10+ years of interventional cardiology.
- Proven and documented sales and clinical performance in interventional cardiology.
- Ability to lead workstreams and initiatives utilizing critical thinking skill sets.
- Ability to provide direction and monitor progress of direct reports clinical and sales objectives, monitor quality, outcomes, and sales performance measures.
- Able to perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
Preferred
- Master's degree preferred.
- Prior commercial and clinical trial experience in interventional cardiology.
- Documented successful leadership experience of sales and clinical teams.
- Prior TAVI experience.
- Stronger consideration will be given to candidates with Abbott TAVI experience.
