The Regional Sales Manager, a fully remote position, reports directly to the Sr Manager, Business Development joining a small team of other regional sales managers. You’ll be responsible for generating new and growing existing business opportunities for Fleet and Tax Exempt accounts driving sales and expanding market reach within the assigned territory. This will include prospecting techniques and conducting sales presentations on our ordering platform while being responsible for maintaining and growing a portfolio of the key accounts (200+). You’ll work closely with the operations team fulfilling basic account management needs.

Essential job functions:

Prospecting & Activation

  • Identify and research potential customers in the tire industry, including tire retailers, service and mechanic shops, fleets or fleet management companies, and other relevant businesses
  • Prospect for new business opportunities by cold calling, emailing, and utilizing other lead generation strategies
  • Reactivating accounts that have been dormant within your territory, by building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
  • Maintain key account growth while cultivating other accounts to the key account status
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and presentations to customers, clearly articulating the value proposition and ROI of our offering
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company, consistently striving for sales growth and market expansion

Collaboration
 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, marketing, and digital product development, to gather market intelligence, understand customer needs, and refine sales strategies
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements related to tires and automotive industry to effectively position and differentiate the products
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills through training programs, workshops, and self-study, staying informed about new tire technologies and industry best practices
  • Participate in team meetings, sales reviews, and performance evaluations to collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team
  • Maintain professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all business interactions, adhering to company policies and promoting a positive image of the organization
  • Continuously analyze market data, sales performance metrics, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase sales effectiveness
  • Embrace a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, seeking out new opportunities, expanding the customer base, and constantly striving for personal and professional growth in the field of tire sales
QualificationsMinimum Job Requirements 
  • 3+ years in outbound sales, preferably in the tire or related automotive industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or other related field, or relevant equivalent experience a plus
  • Functional knowledge of the product offering and customer segments
  • Keen technical acumen - proficient in computer software, CRM applications, and utilizing/leveraging technology to acquire new business leads
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • A demonstrated track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales goals
  • A true business builder, passionate and hungry to hunt for new opportunities and leads (80%) while nurturing existing key accounts (20%)
  • Manages objections and conflict with grace, compassion, and candor
  • A demonstrated problem solver, building creative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and customers
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Talking through the computer for many meetings and one-to-one conversations
  • Continuous viewing of a computer monitor and data entry.
  • Travel as necessary (< 25%).
