This Pre-Admission Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is full time on our Pre Admission Testing, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic Pre-Admission Registered Nurse (RN) that will help provide direct and indirect patient care in the Pre-admission testing area. As the Pre- admission Nurse communicates with physicians/Nurse Managers /Directors and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

* Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy and determines appropriate needs of assigned patients as evidence by appropriate documentation. This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.
* Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
* Ability to establish plan of care as indicated by physician orders and condition and revise as indicated by the patients responses to treatments and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada.
* At least one year of experience
* Current BLS certification.
* ACLS and PALS preferred
