We challenge ourselves to create an inclusive way of working where we are open to new ideas, empowered to take risks and fearless to bring our authentic selves to work.
The team you'll be part of
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
Our team is looking for an experienced reliability expert to help lead the reliability characterization and qualification of leading-edge electro-optic and RF integrated circuits, components, and packaged devices. You are a professional with a deep understanding of several technologies, a solid test methodology background, and the organizational skills to manage several in-house and outsourced efforts. You'll conduct in-house testing, manage out-sourced testing, and perform failure analysis and qualification tasks. You'll design and implement timely experiments which provide an 'early look' at reliability issues during the early phases of development. You'll also execute reliability studies for product risk reduction and support the transition into full qualification activities on a variety of products.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will: • Design reliability testing experiments and stand up the platforms for executing the tests.• Set up in-house automated test setups for reliability and qualification tests, ensuring the correct quality measures for the tests are in place.• Manage the execution of outsourced reliability, failure analysis, and qualification activities.• Develop Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) for photonic ICs, RF ICs, and advanced packaging schemes.• Provide input on the design for reliability during the design phase.
Your skills and experience
You have: • A degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, or a similar field with at least 3+ years of test or reliability engineering experience.• Reliability engineering background, including the capability of debugging test sets and improving the quality of measurements.• Programming ability in C++, python, or similar for data acquisition and analysis.• Skills in the use of lab test equipment such as source meters and vector-network analyzers.
It would be nice if you also had:• An advanced degree in physics or engineering or equivalent and familiarity with associated JEDEC and Telcordia standards and test methodologies
• Fluency with Python programming and fluency with analysis software such as JMP. • Hands-on experience with RF measurements of high-bandwidth (10s of GHz) ICs.• Experience in the qualification of photonic components for telecom and datacom.• Solid verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
