Representative, Supply Chain - Planning

We're hiring a Representative, Supply Chain - Planning to support materials management for our facility in Bloomington, Indiana!

The Representative, Supply Chain - Planning supports the execution of the Master Production Plan for the entire site to achieve 100% on-time delivery of scheduled batches. This position leads all tasks associated with the planning and purchasing of raw materials, scheduling of customer orders, including projects, equipment availability, promise dates and working with procurement and materials management when the need for expediting of any material necessary to start the order. This is a full-time, salaried position and is site based. The schedule is Monday - Friday 1st shift.

Catalent Biologics in Bloomington, Indiana is a state-of-the-art, GMP manufacturing facility, providing one million sq/ft of drug substance manufacturing, drug product manufacturing, and related pharmaceutical services. This award-winning facility helps customers accelerate biologic drug development programs and bring better treatments to help patients live better, healthier lives.

The Role

• Performs analysis to determine optimal production schedule of customer orders and combination of key inputs, including Customer requirements from the Project Management personnel, production sequencing raw material and equipment availability based on their own assessment.

• Interprets and communicates special requirements to appropriate personnel.

• Updates new plans and changes in the inventory management system.

• Supports new product introduction, BOM’s and item master as needed.

• Verifies availability of material and capacity before rescheduling.

• Ensures schedule stability by minimizing short term changes to the schedule where possible.

• Other duties as assigned.

 The Candidate

• High School/GED required.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

• Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements.

• Successful experience interacting and liaising with internal and external clients, customers, and/or suppliers required.

• Prior experience with supply chain responsibilities highly preferred.

• Experience using electronic ERP and Material Management systems required.

• Prior experience in a cGMP environment preferred.

• ASCM or ISM certification preferred.
