Research Associate/Senior Research Associate

We are seeking a passionate, driven Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our research and development team. Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience in developing molecular biology based assays, experience with RNA and genomics assays, and be self-motivated and detail oriented. In this role, you will design and develop novel single cell assays for RNA and multi-omics profiling with next-generation sequencing (NGS). We will rely on your technical expertise in assay development as part of a multi-disciplinary team working towards a complete product.

What You'll Do:

• Provide technical assistance in the development of high throughput single cell gene genomics and epigenomics products.
• Apply your technical abilities in the identification of creative solutions for improving and testing novel assays with internal teams and external collaborators.
• Keep detailed experimental logs and provide timely execution of assay development activities.
• Help maintain the supply of lab reagents and consumables.
• Write summary reports and present updates to the team.

About You:

• B.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or closely related field with 0-5 years of experience.
• Passionate about developing innovative, cutting-edge life science tool products.
• Hands-on experience in a life sciences lab in either academia or industry with an emphasis on molecular biology techniques for nucleic acid analysis including amplification, labeling, and hybridization.
• Experience in PCR and NGS is highly desirable.
• Experience performing multi-step molecular biology assays, and ability to learn complex tasks and experimental execution.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and team player.
• Knowledge in bioinformatics and NGS data analysis is a plus

Below is the salary range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.

Base Salary Range - $65,000 - $85,000 USD
