The Brain Stimulation Lab (BSL) has been at the forefront of using brain stimulation techniques to treat and study neuropsychiatric disorders. We focus on utilizing neurostimulation to probe the neural elements involved in control of conflict regulation within the human brain. The mission of the BSL is to utilize cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques in an effort to develop new hypotheses regarding proposed dysfunction within the neural networks involved in neuropsychiatric diseases/disorders. The BSL offers research study treatments for numerous neuropsychiatric diseases/disorders. Currently, the BSL has several active studies examining topics such as treatment-resistant depression, chronic pain, suicide, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. BSL studies utilize novel brain stimulation techniques, novel psychopharmacological approaches and neuroimaging methods. The BSL within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking a Research Data Analyst 1 to Manage and analyze large amounts of information, typically technical or scientific in nature, under the direction of project researchers, investigators, or managers. The RDA 1 will play a role in fMRI data Analysis across BSL studies and primarily on the Matter Neuroscience Project. The Research Data Analyst will engage with Stanford faculty, students, and staff as well as external collaborators. This position will aim to understand the neural basis of treatment-resistant depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and their treatments to leverage this knowledge to develop novel treatment interventions. Dutiesinclude: • Collect, manage and clean datasets. • Employ new and existing tools to interpret, analyze, and visualize multivariate relationships in data. • Create databases and reports, develop algorithms and statistical models, and perform statistical analyses appropriate to data and reporting requirements. • Use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and determine root cause for data problems from input errors or inadequate field edits, and suggest possible solutions. • Develop reports, charts, graphs and tables for use by investigators and for publication and presentation. • Analyze data processes in documentation. • Collaborate with faculty and research staff on data collection and analysis methods. • Provide documentation based on audit and reporting criteria to investigators and research staff. • Communicate with government officials, grant agencies and industry representatives. . *-Otherdutiesmayalsobeassigned. DESIREDQUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with data tools (i.e. RedCap, C, C++, Java, CONN, Matlab, SPM, FSL, BrainNet) • Experience in neurosciences research and/or clinical trials . EDUCATION&EXPERIENCE(REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering. . KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSANDABILITIES(REQUIRED): • Substantial experience with MS Office and analytical programs. • Strong writing and analytical skills. • Ability to prioritize workload.
