What You'll Do

• Help gather and analyze data to facilitate the management and renewal of Uber's insurance programs
• Assist in the ongoing maintenance and annual renewal of all coverage placements including Casualty, Property, Cyber, D&O, Worker's Compensation
• Track and participate in the administration of Uber's insurance programs including etc
• Support the day-to-day administration of the insurance program including COIs, policy issuance, binders, invoices, payment status, maintaining files with policies and endorsements, and responding to insurance-related inquiries
• Ensuring required data and compliance documentation is provided and other support activities as requested.
• Conduct research, and analytics, and provide operational support to help optimize existing insurance products and identify new opportunities
• Stay abreast of new trends and ins urance product developments in the rideshare/sharing economy sector
• Work directly with our internal business partners and brokers
• Develop risk management and insurance materials for relevant stakeholders
• Research appropriate risk management solutions to enable emerging company initiatives and products
• Help drive a culture of risk management throughout the business and operationalize ways to measure risk/impact on insurance programs

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry or a related field, analytically minded, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Insurance/ Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, (or a related field), or insurance-related professional certification (e.g., ACAS, ARM, CRM)
• Knowledge and understanding of business insurance lines, insurance policy forms and wordings, insurance market dynamics, and conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an in-house corporate risk team including insurance placements
• Knowledge of the transportation or technology sector's risk landscape is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various audiences.
• Experience with data analytics tools including SQL, R, Python, Tableau, and/or PowerBI
• Ability to analyze datasets, identify trends and anomalies, and translate data into actionable business strategies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google equivalent
• Team player. You rely on others' candid feedback for continuous improvement
• Ability to deal well with ambiguity, multi-tasking, and perform under tight deadlines
• Self-motivated, with a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm about Uber and our mission!

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
