Overview:

We are a high-paced, high-energy 36 bed Orthopedic Unit, specializing in the care of spinal surgery patients, along with medical patients.  We have an exceptional unit highlighted by teamwork and dedication. We are a growing team who is working towards becoming a Center of Excellence and Joint Commission Certified Spine Program.• 5:1 Patient to Nurse Ratio• 1 of 2 Inpatient Units Dedicated to post operative spine patients• Advanced Certification and Education Oriented Unit• Dedicated Spine Specialization ProgramPersonalized Orientation Process focusing on competent care of the postoperative spine

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
  • Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
  • Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
