Role Overview
Weβre looking for an experienced Sales Representative or Owner-Operator with a proven book of business in commercial carpet and flooring for large projects ($75k-$4M+). The ideal candidate will bring a strong client network and expertise in securing and managing high-value contracts. This role offers the opportunity to operate independently while we cover overhead expenses (e.g., office space, software, marketing, insurance) to maximize your profitability and scale your business.
Key Responsibilities

Leverage your existing client relationships to secure commercial carpet and flooring contracts.
β’
Manage project bids, estimates, and negotiations, targeting competitive pricing and healthy profit margins (12-18%).
β’
Collaborate with our team on project execution, including RFI reviews, permitting, and coordination with subcontractors.
β’
Utilize industry tools (e.g., MeasureSquare, Callidus) for accurate takeoffs and proposals.
β’
Stay informed on market trends, such as sustainable carpets, low-VOC materials, or modular carpet tiles, to meet client demands.
Qualifications
β’
Established book of business in commercial carpet and flooring with a focus on large projects (e.g., offices, schools, hospitals, hospitality).
β’
5+ years of experience in commercial flooring sales, estimating, or project management.
β’
Strong network of clients, including general contractors, developers, or property managers.
β’
Owner-operator or independent contractor experience preferred, with a desire to partner for overhead support.
β’
Proficiency in project management and estimating tools (e.g., MeasureSquare, Callidus); certifications like PMP or LEED are a plus.
β’
Knowledge of unionized labor environments is an advantage but not required.
β’
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
