Overview

The Enterprise Car Sales Division has an exciting opening for a Sales Consultant Internship!

This intern will be responsible for developing relationships with customers, calling qualified prospects to educate them on our program and set appointments, generating leads and supporting the sales team.

From day one as a paid intern with Enterprise, you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge to learn the business, to learn how to ultimately manage the branch and to support the entire operation. The Sales Consultant Intern performs duties in all aspects of a dealership to become familiar with line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints and company policies and practices that affect each aspect of the business.

If you're looking to hit the ground running, the Enterprise Sales Consultant Internship will help you build valuable business, sales and leadership skills. For a university/college student, the real-world professional experience you'll receive during the internship will help you stand apart from the crowd, and will be more than just a line on your resume.

This is a 10-12 week Internship taking place Spring 2025. Part time and full time options.

This position pays $15/hour and is located at 320 Greystone Blvd, Columbia SC 29210.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in generating new business by making sales calls to referral sources (Daily Rental Branches, Credit Unions and other referral sources) and expand the Car Sales market share
  • Assist in managing referrals, conducting customer follow-up and building long-term relationship with customers
  • Assist in telemarketing to qualified prospects to set appointments
  • Organize, analyze and schedule assignments to meet known priorities, sales activities and critical work deadlines
  • Organize and ensure accuracy and completion of all paperwork for each customer transaction

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be currently enrolled in college in a bachelors degree program
  • Must be graduating by May 2025
  • Must have 6 months (can be non-concurrent) of sales or customer service or marketing or leadership experience.
  • Must have a valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents within the past 3 years.
  • No drug or alcohol related conviction (DWI/DUI) on driving record 3 years.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must be available for 10-12 weeks.
